For a long time, this piece didn’t have a name, just “Untitled”. It had started out as an experiment using repeated shapes. During the thinking, doodling phase, I remembered a teacher once mentioning the challenge of using a hole as part of a design. So, feeling very brave, I cut one in the canvas, echoing the diamond shapes that I had already started. The whole thing just grew from other found objects around the studio. My diamonds didn’t exactly smooth out, but they gradually grew to like each other.
