2nd Place, Non-Professional Non-Original with Instruction

Under the Summer Sun transports me to summer and the beach, with the colors, the shape, and the center shell. The choice of pecky Cypress for the display stand compliments the beachy feel of the piece. As a pilot stitcher for this piece, I “visited” the beach often! Piloting was a great experience, requiring attention to detail and offering the opportunity to make suggestions so the instructions would be even better.
