3rd Place, Non-Professional Non-Original with Instruction

Sisters is a design by Nancy Cucci. Sisters was stitched with cotton threads, and bead and crystal embellishments. This project included a technique for personalization using straight stitches creating “holes” to form alphabets. I personalized the piece with my initials and the initials of my best friend from college because she is like a sister to me. Because I do have a sister, I am filled with guilt when I admire this piece and have vowed to stitch another Sisters in the future for my real-life sister!
