2nd Place, Professional Non-Original with Instruction

This was an enjoyable class piece, designed by Gail Sirna. The bright red poppies, was stitched using many different stitches and techniques that I found to be good choices for the varied flowers. I did reshape the “copper” bowl a bit as the original drawing was not symmetric and, being a man-made shape, I felt it created a slight distraction if left as was designed. The only other change that I incorporated was using actual gold spangles in the flower centers rather than the craft sequins that were in the original. This was a pleasure to stitch.
