Larry is a ferocious Patchwork Lion that explores many different stitches to create a happy addition to your needlework decorations. He is the third in a series of Patchwork animals; the first was Elliot the Patchwork Elephant followed by Gertrude the Patchwork Giraffe. The autumnal feel of the colors makes stitching on this canvas a dream. Driving through Colorado on a beautiful fall day inspired the color choices for this design. The optional addition of a fun gold beaded crown and whiskers makes Larry the definite “King of the Jungle”. Several Rainbow Gallery metallics, Vineyard Silk, Treenways Silk Eyelash, and Planet Earth Silks, along with beads and sequins, are used to create this charismatic design. The stitches include old favorites, as well as a few surprises. The background is a white-on-white diagonal pattern that emphasizes the corners of the design and enhances the lion’s strong personality.
