The Copper Year is my interpretation of the challenge issued by Michele Roberts to use copper sheets to create a series of designs with a theme. I expanded the size to facilitate manipulation of the materials. It is intended to be a light-hearted representation of what is generally associated with each month of the year. I included needlelace and other needlework as appropriate using unconventional materials. It was exciting to think of new ways to use the materials.
