This piece is from Trish Burr’s book: Color Confidence in Embroidery. The background is Southern Belle muslin. A few minor modifications were made. Eterna silk, which is no longer available, was replaced by Japanese flat silk, and I made the tummy a little rounder to make him cuter. The most fun of this piece was doing the French knots for the lichens and seed heads. It was hard to stop!
