A close friend from my EGA chapter introduced me to Fabergé eggs several years ago. While I appreciated their beauty, none truly reflected my personal style. I had always been on the lookout for beaded eggs but never encountered one crafted in Cubic Right Angle Weave – let alone in my preferred color palette. Thus, Fabergé Meets Goth was born out of that absence. This piece was designed by me and created for a step in the EGA’s Master Craftsman program.

The majority of the piece is created with Miyuki beads and Swarovski crystals using the Cubic Right Angle Weave technique. However, I also incorporated a variation of flat Dimensional Right Angle Weave and Peyote stitch as contrast in the panels. The egg’s “surprise” is a simple bead embroidery pendant topped with a CRAW crown.
