2nd Place, Non-Professional Non-Original with Instruction

This blackwork piece reminded me of a public speaking platform with multiple levels, thus the name Blackwork . I slightly modified the original to make the blackwork look the same on the back as well as on the front with no free-standing elements. I find it easier to follow the pattern this way. The original pattern by Peppermint Purple was named Study in Teal. I felt black stitches would better show off the intricate pattern and enable the dimensional structure of the pattern to stand out.
